Building Sustainable Communities, level 5
This unit examines the idea of communities' environmental and social sustainability, and the possible role of central and local governments in promoting sustainability, as well as the impact of individuals.
It is written in a ‘generic’ way, with a suggested case study example (the Rotorua Lakes), and designed to be adapted to link to local communities, or to regional/national and even global contexts where issues of sustainability are a focus.
It has been updated for the New Zealand Curriculum.
